Many beauty businesses offer an array of machines, manual techniques as well as various skin care products and aftercare – with the ever evolving industry it’s no surprise clients want to know they have covered as many bases as possible within one or two treatments. It also advances any stand alone treatment!
Cryostar® is a non-invasive technology so can be combined with treatments such as microdermabrasion, Hydra Facial and LED Light Therapy. Micro needling is another hugely popular treatment to have, a minimally invasive cosmetic procedure that’s used to treat skin concerns via collagen production. Also known as ‘collagen induction therapy’, this treatment may help those looking to reduce the appearance of acne scars and stretch marks.
The idea of Micro needling is that millions of tiny pinpricks from a pen-like tool (an example is the Derma Pen) causes slight micro injuries to the skin and in turn the skin responds naturally to repair and make new collagen-rich tissue. This new skin tissue is more even in tone and texture. By encouraging the skin to make new tissue, there may be more collagen to help make the skin firmer, too.
Benefits of Micro needling followed with a CryoFacial™ (3-4 days after):
Both treatments improve elasticity and skin tone, as well as reduce fine lines and wrinkles.
The micro needling will improve the appearance of acne scars and skin tone, while the CryoFacial™ will help with cell turnover, elasticity and collagen production which will improve acne scars as well and skin tone and produce younger, healthier glowing skin.

We would recommend a course of combining Micro needling and the CryoFacial™ for maximum results – a consultation is always necessary. If needling is not for you then next we will cover the renowned, multi tasking Hydra Facial X CryoFacial™.

LED Light Therapy is another great technology to combine with the CryoFacial™. It’s recently recognised and medically accepted even though it has been around since the 1960’s and benefit deriving from the use of light is known since ancient time, but, only in the last decades of twentieth century, we witnessed the rapid expansion of knowledge and techniques.
Light-emitted diode (LED)-based devices represent the emerging and safest tool for the treatment of many conditions such as skin inflammatory conditions, aging, and disorders linked to hair growth. In addition to red light therapy there is blue light to treat acne, green light that can even reduce migraines. Facial and body machines are popping up in many skin clinics, spas and aesthetics clinics – there are even home-use masks available.

The present work reviews the current knowledge about LED-based therapeutic approaches in different skin and hair disorders. The use of LED in the treatment of such conditions has now entered common practice among dermatologists. Additional controlled studies are still needed to corroborate the efficacy of such kind of treatment.
Not unlike Cryostar®, Red Light Therapy is well known to promote collagen production in our skin cells which could reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. If combined with a CryoFacial™ (straight after) the Light Therapy will continue to increase energy production and act as an anti-inflammatory.
Both will improve the skins appearance, reduce the symptoms of a host of skin disorders from acne to psoriasis to rosacea and increase repair rate of damaged skin. WHAT A COMBO!
